Heavy Duty FFS Film
FFS stands for Form Fill seal. So, FFS Film is a flat polyethylene film distributed in reels and optimized for heavy automated packing machines.
FFS films have proven to be a great replacement of sack packaging. It is mainly a packageless system which has replaced the traditional packaging approach in which trays were used. A single packaging machine gets the job done for Forming, Filling and Sealing and it runs automatically. FFS film is mainly used to automatically fill almost 2800 bags in one hour.
There are two types of FFS films:
- Tubular FFS Film
- Flat FFS Film
In Tubular film, the tube enters the filling machine, the bag is cut after getting base-sealed, formed and then filled. After that, it is sealed at the top to cover whatever is inside it.
In Flat FFS film, the film enters the filling machine, the bag gets base-sealed and then it is sealed vertically. After that, it is cut, formed and then filled. At the end, it gets sealed at the top just like the other film.
This FFS system suits best for raw materials like pellets, seeds, flakes, powders, granulates and other such dry solids.
It is also suitable for fertilizers, paints, fine chemicals and lubricants.
You can also use it for the packaging of industrial minerals such as rock salt and ice melt, industrial food such as sugar and flour, petrochemicals such as resins and other additives and building materials such as mortar and cement.
Following are the advantages associated with FFS films:
- There is no need for the use of trays, powder or any such material that harms the environment in any way.
- FFS films have remarkable weldability which helps to increase the efficiency during the production.
- Operating is very convenient; the opening is simple and reliable.
- Choose films with outstanding hardenability and leak resistance for maximum reliability in your manufacturing.
- The use of FFS films has enhanced the safety for workers. For example, the powder previously used was harmful which is now being eliminated.
